The filling of the cable entries can be roughly divided into two categories, the blocks and the end seals . The blocks depend on the cables and pipes to be passed through. The end seals are used to seal the penetration and make it watertight. Furthermore, various accessories & tools are also available to facilitate installation.
The range of pre-greased insert blocks from MCT Brattberg is suitable for the passage of cables and pipes with a diameter of 4 to 100 mm . It is important here that the insert block is accurately matched to the outer diameter of the cable to be fed through (the diameter coding on each insert block can be used for this).
The cable diameters must therefore always be carefully measured, so that the matching insert blocks can be selected for each cable. Based on the size tables, it can be verified whether the correct block size has been chosen for the relevant cable; the diameter code on the block provides immediate clarity on this point.
Blocks are marked with a code, consisting of the block width (A) and the hole diameter (B). For example, a block with a width of 15 mm and a hole size of 4 mm in diameter is referred to as 15-4. This designation, also referred to as diameter coding , is printed on both short sides of each insert block.
The length of an insert block is always 60mm. Two insert blocks must always be used for each cable, in order to be able to seal that cable. Insert blocks are therefore sold per set .
The unused space in a window should be filled with dense, pre-greased blank blocks (spare blocks). The space filled with blind blocks can be used at a later stage for the installation of new cables.
Furthermore, stayplates are needed for a good seal, these are placed between each row of blocks in the frame. Due to the protruding edges, these fall just outside the frame, which provides an anchorage. Stayplates are standard available in galvanized steel or stainless steel.
Exception: no stayplates are required for the round RGP penetrations.
Installed between the compression plate and the top of the frame, completing the seal. Manufactured from Lycron with galvanized steel (F) or stainless steel (S) hardware.
Inserted above the top row of blocks. The bolt is tightened to compress the system, allowing the STG end gasket to be installed. Manufactured from glass fiber reinforced polyester.
The PTG-120 compresses the system and completes the seal. Manufactured from Lycron with stainless steel (316L) hardware.
We almost always have insert blocks, blind blocks and in principle all other blocks and end seals in stock, look for the current stock in our webshop:
